              Internship Communication

              The internship

              Do you want to use your writing talent, do you enjoy immersing yourself in education, various client cases and do you want to make a social impact? Then this is the internship for you.

              • Start date: Mid-January to mid-February 2026
              • Type of internship: collaborative internship
              • Internship duration: ±5 months (by agreement)
              • Compensation: Appropriate internship remuneration
              • Training: HBO+ preferably in communication, media, MIC, journalism, linguistics, or similar studies.
              • Operations: Writing texts, editing, collaborating on campaigns, content and formats

              Who are we?

              DUO-Onderwijs is an independent research and consultancy firm. We have been conducting thorough research with schools and helping them with practical and strategic choices since 1995. And so we also help organisations, such as ministries and other providers, with research, advice and solutions. We work with a team of researchers, educationalists and consultants. Our mission: to strengthen schools together.

              What will you do?

              If you like education and variety, you will be in the right place. As a communications intern, you will work on various projects in a close-knit team of communications advisers. You will mainly support the team by writing texts for our clients (including National Committee 4 and 5 May, the Trimbos Institute, School & Safety Foundation and Esero). You will help think about the tone, structure and structure and learn to work with substantive insights from research and strategy. Think about:

              • Writing copy for DMs, Linkedin posts, landing pages, presentations, among others.
              • You will help think about creative angles, concepts and content (including videos).
              • You will delve into education target groups and related insights and learn to translate this into strong content
              • Proofreading (editorial) texts of our communication advisers

              Who are you and what do you bring?

              • A true Dutch language knight
              • You think strategically, are curious and not afraid to ask questions
              • You enjoy working in a small, content-rich team
              • Affinity with teaching is nice, but your motivation counts more
              • A completed HBO+ education
              • You are available for 24+ hours per week (more hours always possible by mutual agreement)

              DUO-Onderwijs supports the National Committee for 4 and 5 May in communicating about the Adopt a Monument project: This educational project allows schools throughout the Netherlands to ‘adopt’ a war monument in their neighbourhood. In this way, pupils discover the stories behind the monument and experience what freedom means. See all information here.

              Assignment:
              Write a LinkedIn post (max. 140 words) for National Committee 4 and 5 May, aimed at primary school teachers. In this post, explain what participation entails and why it is valuable for pupils. Call to action: the landing page
