        Privacy statement DUO-Onderwijs

        DUO-Onderwijs respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. DUO-Onderwijs considers it important that its services are transparent, personal and reliable. We are therefore constantly looking for ways to improve our services and tailor them as much as possible to your personal requirements. In doing so, we process your personal data carefully and securely. Moreover, we only process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter: AVG) and/or other special privacy legislation.

        This privacy statement explains to you what personal data DUO-Onderwijs processes about you, why we do so, how we protect your personal data, your rights as a data subject and how you can exercise them. We also indicate how and where you can make a complaint.

        Who is responsible for processing your personal data?

        What personal data does DUO-Onderwijs process about you?

        DUO-Onderwijs processes your personal data if you have provided it to us and if you use DUO-Onderwijs's services. By personal data we mean any information about an identified or identifiable natural person.

        We may process at least the following personal data:

        • First and last name;
        • Address, postcode, city;
        • Phone number;
        • E-mail address.

         

        Why does DUO-Onderwijs process these personal data?

        We process your personal data for the following purposes:

        • To prepare an appropriate offer for you;
        • To give effect to the agreement you have entered into with us;
        • To deliver the services to;
        • To contact you if necessary to carry out our work on your behalf;
        • For the financial processing of your order or handling of any complaint.

         

        How does DUO-Onderwijs secure your personal data?

        All personal data provided by you will be treated with utmost care and absolute confidentiality.

        We ensure that appropriate technical and organisational measures are taken to adequately protect your personal data against misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised changes.

        Moreover, the personal data you provide will only be used for the aforementioned purposes and shared with those persons within our organisation who need to know about your personal data in order to serve you properly.

        Does DUO-Onderwijs share your personal data with third parties?

        DUO-Onderwijs shares your personal data with third parties only if the sharing is necessary for the proper performance of the agreement DUO-Onderwijs has concluded with you and to comply with any legal obligation. With these third parties, who process your data on our behalf, DUO-Onderwijs enters into a processor's agreement to ensure that they too have an appropriate level of security and confidentiality of your data similar to our own.

        Where does DUO-Onderwijs store your personal data?

        Storage of your personal data will only take place in the European Economic Area (EEA), and in particular in the Netherlands. If storage outside the EEA will nevertheless take place, DUO-Onderwijs will seek your explicit prior consent. DUO Market Research will also ensure that additional safeguards are in place in relation to the storage of your personal data outside the EEA.

        How long does DUO-Onderwijs keep your personal data?

        DUO-Onderwijs will not retain your personal data for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which we obtained your personal data as well as a reasonable period thereafter for any administrative and financial settlement of your order. DUO-Onderwijs may also keep your personal data for longer if you give express and specific consent to do so. Finally, DUO-Onderwijs may also keep your personal data for longer if DUO-Onderwijs is required to do so by law.

        Once the agreed or legal deadlines have expired, DUO-Onderwijs will delete your personal data.

        DUO-Onderwijs applies the following retention periods for the categories of personal data listed below:

        • We store personal data, which are processed on the invoice, for 7 years after the calendar year in which the invoice was issued;
        • We store personal data, which you have actively provided (e.g. in correspondence and over the phone) 2 years after your order with us has been completed;

         

        Are personal data processed and stored when visiting the DUO-Onderwijs website ?

        When the webpage of DUO-Onderwijs https://www.duo-onderwijs.nl/, is visited by you, the following data is automatically stored and processed in a protocol for the purpose of the service:

        • Date and time of the page call;
        • Call URL;
        • Browser used (user agent);
        • The success or failure of the call (call status);
        • Size of data received and transmitted;
        • Run time (the time during which you visit the website).

         

        The processing of this data is necessary for technical reasons to make our services available. The data may also be used to compile internal system and usage statistics. However, this does not involve data that can be traced back to specific individuals. Insofar as statistics are compiled to design that web page according to users' wishes, pseudonyms are used for this purpose.

        In order to conduct efficient and pleasant business with DUO-Onderwijs or through our websites, we use cookies. Cookies are pieces of information stored on your computer by your internet browser. DUO-Onderwijs uses these cookies to recognise you on your next visit.         The information, which Google obtains, is stored in the United States. Google complies with the rules of the Privacy Shield, which allows them to offer an adequate level of protection as referred to in the AVG.

        What rights do you have under the General Data Protection Regulation?

        You have the following rights as a data subject under the AVG:

        • Right to access your personal data;
        • Right to deletion of your personal data. If there is a legal retention obligation, your personal data will be deleted immediately after the expiry of this retention obligation;
        • Right to rectification or restricted use of data collected and processed;
        • Right to data portability (the right to transfer personal data);
        • Right to be forgotten;
        • Right to object to data processing.

        The right to delete your personal data also applies at all times to your name and the visual material posted on the website.

        DUO-Onderwijs will process your request regarding the exercise of your right(s) within the statutory deadline of 4 weeks. For complex requests, the period may be extended once by 4 weeks. When handling your request(s), DUO Market Research will make use of the legal possibilities to grant or reject your request(s). If we reject your request, we will give proper reasons.

        If DUO-Onderwijs acts as a processor and other party is the controller of your personal data, DUO-Onderwijs will forward your request(s) to the controller as soon as possible. In that case, you will receive a response to your request(s) from the controller.
