Senior communications consultant/ project manager

Period: April to November
Deployment: 32-26 hours per week
Location: Utrecht, possible to work partly from home

For the period of maternity leave, we are looking for a senior communication advisor who will be responsible for advising and realising on a variety of communication projects for our school relations and monitoring our corporate communication. You will work closely together with two other communication advisers. Together, you will coordinate ongoing (client) projects and ensure continuity in our communication. Our projects range from writing strategic advice based on research to developing educational campaigns and implementing activation plans.

You will ensure that projects are carried out professionally, consultancy interviews are carefully prepared and conducted, and that our communication to schools and relations remains consistent and strong in terms of content.

DUO-Onderwijs is an independent research and consultancy firm. We have been conducting thorough research with schools and helping them with practical and strategic choices since 1995. And so we also help organisations such as ministries and other relations with research, advice and solutions. We work with a team of researchers, educationalists and consultants. • Supervise and implement ongoing projects for school relations (ministries, knowledge centres, cultural institutions and publishing houses).
• Monitoring planning, quality and content
• Preparing and co-managing advisory meetings with clients, together with other senior advisers
• Analysing queries, writing briefings and translating these customer needs into strategy
• Responsible for the newsletter
• Writing and editing texts
• Monitoring tone-of-voice and positioning DUO-Onderwijs

• At least 5-10 years' experience as a communications consultant, preferably in a consultancy or agency environment
• You independently conduct senior-level interviews
• You can switch between strategic thinking and careful execution
• Your writing is clear, structured and strong in terms of content
• You have an affinity with education and our clientele (knowledge centres, museums, cultural institutions, educational publishers, charities and ministries)
• You work independently and take responsibility for quality
