As a member of the industry association Data & Insights Network (D&IN), DUO-Onderwijs naturally adheres to the privacy rules set out in the ”Code of Conduct for Research and Statistics”. This has been approved by the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Dutch Government Gazette, 2004, no. 36). We also hold the Fair Data label (from D&IN), which means that we handle personal data responsibly and adhere to strict rules.

DUO-Onderwijs processes respondents' data to conduct research. When we invite you to participate in a study (usually completing a questionnaire), we inform you of the purpose of the study and who our client is. According to the new European legislation, the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG), we are allowed to receive your data from our clients to conduct research.

Cooperation in our surveys is of course voluntary. U determines whether you want to participate. If you no longer wish to receive emails from us, you can unsubscribe using a link in the email you receive.

How does DUO-Onderwijs protect the privacy of the respondent?

We adhere to D&IN's strict rules of conduct:

• We do not collect more data than necessary for the study.
• We anonymise research results as soon as possible.
• We never compile reports on individual respondents unless the respondent gives their unambiguous consent. Your answers are therefore never traceable to you as a respondent/person.
• We have taken technical and organisational measures to secure collected data against unauthorised use.
